Context
Flying Elephant Lab / TRU Finance in Cairo shipped shopping and fintech apps for the local market — price search at scale plus a new installment payment product.

What I did
Senior Android Engineer at TRU Finance / Flying Elephant Lab LLC (Jul 2018 – Feb 2020). Built Shahry from scratch and maintained Yaoota’s shopping search app, introducing Jenkins CI across the stack.

Impact
Shahry shipped for the local market with automated quality gates; Yaoota search reached about a quarter million users.
Highlights
- Owned Android delivery across Yaoota and Shahry under Flying Elephant Lab / TRU Finance
- Introduced Jenkins CI with lint, unit/UI tests, and Play alpha deployment
- Shipped fintech and shopping products for the Egyptian market
