Context
Arabic audiences wanted culturally native apps — mood content, radio, widgets — not thin localizations of Western products. Egyptian startups were the training ground.

What I did
Junior Android Developer at various Egyptian startups (Jan 2014 – Jan 2016). Learned Android core components with seniors and shipped consumer products end to end — Zad, FocusMusic.fm, FlashWatch, a context-aware TODO app, and an OpenCV photo-comparison app.

Impact
Zad reached ~250K MAU with a 4.7 rating — early proof of shipping culturally native Android products at scale.
